Who We Are:

Mission: The Pearl House protects, educates and disciples at-risk young women in under-served communities around the world.

We are inspired by the words of Matthew 13:45-46:

“Again the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who when he had found ONE pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it”.

What we do:

The Pearl House helps girls discover their identity and purpose in Christ by providing them the following opportunities: physical care, academic instruction, spiritual development, vocational training, recovery/counseling, and livelihood development*. It is our goal that our “Pearls of great price” be empowered to become anything they are called to be, whether a seamstress, a chef, or doctor, or anything!

“Educate a man, you change an individual. Educate a woman, you change a nation.” Dr. Aggrey, Africa

Our vision is to empower young women to change their families, their communities and their nation.

This is our plumb line. This is our roadmap. If it doesn’t align with the Word, we will not pursue it. It is the focus of our teaching to the girls..we want to give the girls this same value to take with them in their lives.

We value PEOPLE.
We serve others through meeting physical, spiritual and emotional needs. We serve those who work alongside of us with respect and integrity. We honor those who support TPH with communication, information, and prayers. We understand that people matter to God and He cares about all of those on our path. We are teaching and learning to see others as God sees them—as His creation, as His child, and worthy of love. We strive to communicate that a person’s identity is rooted in who they are in Christ and how He feels about them.

We value genuine love and respect in order to create community within each Pearl House with a diverse group of girls. We understand the power of being a part of the Body of Christ and encourage membership in the local church and embrace its support. We also value the physical locales of our Pearl Houses and want to bless the community of people surrounding the houses and those communities where our girls have lived. We are aware of the needs around TPH, not just within it. We will carry Jesus to the people around our ministry—whether in Tulsa or at a Pearl House.

We see each person as God’s creation-with unique purposes and giftings to accomplish His purpose in their life. We endeavor to help our young women find their unique place and talents and purposes in Christ and strive to maximize opportunities for each girl after leaving TPH. We will look for best situations for employees and volunteers at TPH to match their desire to serve with the jobs that reflect their gifts and purposes.

We long to be responsible and accountable to our donors and employees. Maximize effectiveness of every dollar. We will do our best leverage all of the assets given to TPH with best practices and continual improvement. We will seek counsel on all operations.

Educate a man, you change an individual. Educate a woman, you change a nation.
